Avocent DSR1022 4-port  IP KVM Switch
The Avocent 4-port, single digital pathway DSR1022 KVM over IP switch provides 1 user with remote BIOS-level control of four PS/2, USB, Sun and serial based computers and network devices over UTP cabling. The advanced DSRIQ server interface cables implemented with each computer automatically assigns and maintains unique server names for each attached devices along with providing users with a reduction in cable clutter. Local PS2 ports provide users with access to all attached computers at the rack. Also included on the DSR1022 is a port to enable users to remotely power cycle down servers and an external modem port for fail-safe remote access if the network is down. DSView 3 management software provides users with failover authentication by implementing a hub and spoke architecture. This unique and secure KVM over IP access method allows DSR users to authenticate with a central management Hub server or one of 15 mirror Spoke servers.

With support for multiple network devices and remote management, the Avocent DSR1022 KVM over IP switch gives you greater access to branch office devices. The Avocent DSR1022 switch is specifically designed for you to easily troubleshoot, reboot or even power cycle servers or serial devices in branch offices, avoiding the need for costly on-site service calls. The Avocent DSR1022 switch includes four configurable ports for maximum flexibility and supports PS/2 and USB servers. External modem support is available if your network is down.

Combined with DSView 3 management software, SNMP and IPMI support, and a Web browser, the Avocent DSR1022 switch provides one-screen, BIOS-level control of your branch office?s servers, routers and DSUs. Hub and spoke failover capability allows users to authenticate when a primary server is unavailable.
