Avocent DSR1020 IP KVM Switch
The Avocent 16-port, single digital pathway DSR1020 KVM over IP switch provides 1 user with remote BIOS-level control of sixteen PS/2, USB, Sun and serial based computers and network devices over UTP cabling. The advanced DSRIQ server interface cables implemented with each computer automatically assigns and maintains unique server names for each attached devices along with providing users with a reduction in cable clutter. Local USB and PS2 ports provide users with access to all attached computers at the rack. Also included on the DSR1020 is a port to enable users to remotely power cycle down servers and an external modem port for fail-safe remote access if the network is down. DSView 3 management software provides users with failover authentication by implementing a hub and spoke architecture. This unique and secure KVM over IP access method allows DSR users to authenticate with a central management Hub server or one of 15 mirror Spoke servers.

The Avocent DSR KVM over IP 16-port Avocent DSR1020 KVM over IP switch provides BIOS-level control of all connected servers and serial-based devices in your data center. For easy access to your network devices, the Avocent DSR1020 switch includes a USB port, the ability to remotely power cycle connected devices and external modem support when the network is down.

DSView 3 management software, with hub and spoke architecture, provides failover authentication. Users authenticate to a central management server (the hub) or one of 15 mirror servers (the spokes). SNMP and IPMI support are also provided.
