The APC
Symmetra PX is a redundant, scalable, power
protection system designed to cost effectively
provide high levels of availability. Seamlessly
integrating into today's state-of-the-art data
center designs, the Symmetra PX is a true modular
system. Made up of dedicated and redundant
modules--power, intelligence, battery and bypass,
all engineered into a design that is easily and
efficiently serviceable, this architecture can scale
power and runtime as demand grows or as higher
levels of availability are required.
Symmetra PX
serves as the core power train that drives
APC InfraStruXure systems for small and medium
data centers but can also power individual "zones"
of larger data centers. Highly manageable, the
Symmetra PX features self-diagnostic capabilities
and standardized modules which mitigate the risk of
human error resulting in increased overall data
center reliability.

MW is a modular, fault-tolerant UPS in the 400-1600

Symmetra Megawatt II modules to maintain synchronous
operation regardless of the availability of an input
power source while in parallel operation.
MegaTie allows maintenance on connected modules without

APC MGE EPS 6000

The MGE EPS 6000 60Hz continues to be the
benchmark of quality and availability for
the MGE EPS range of UPS modules in North
America. MGE EPS 6000 continues demonstrate
its robust design with over 10,000 units
installed providing day after day of
critical power protection. These models were
the first to introduce IGBT inverters and
pulse width modulation technology which
gained overall system efficiency and a solid
100% step load responses. MGE EPS 6000 has
superior flexibility, with auxiliary
equipment such as: low kVAR input filters,
external maintenance bypass, critical bus
synchronization, remote alarm status panels,
top entry cabinets, and distribution to meet

APC MGE EPS 7000

The MGE EPS 7000 UPS features a full front
access design and all critical serviceable
components reachable within minutes not
hours. These UPS modules allow IT and
facilities managers to respond to increasing
demands placed on power infrastructure in
growing facilities by offering N+1
capabilities. MGE EPS 7000 was the first in
the industry to incorporate a 100% rated
static switch on output of UPS inverter with
no mechanical contactors which can age and
weaken during UPS operation. Energy
efficiency is a key feature for the MGE EPS
7000 with a 93.5% system efficiency at full
load and continues at high efficiency levels
down to 25% load (93%).

The MGE EPS 8000 is the primary choice in
the large data center market with its
benchmark on quality and availability, from
555 to 1100kVA in a single box. Relying on
advanced 12 pulse rectifier and inverter
technologies to restrict total harmonic
distortion to less than 5 percent. Copper
galvanic isolation is provided for both
input and output to the UPS while isolating
the DC ground from upstream devices in the
event of a ground fault condition due to
battery leakage. The MGE EPS 8000 is a true
high performance machine with efficiency up
to 93.5% while maintaining efficiency of 92%
at 25% load. UPS delivers clean reliable
power even in the harshest of electrical
environments.
Featuring 100% step-load
capability which ensures a fast response to
load changes with accurate voltage
regulation. In addition, the MGE EPS 8000
incorporates fault tolerant circuitry that
protects the UPS from accidental short
circuits usually caused by load side
failures or overloads. Core MGE EPS is
equipped with a 100 percent rated output
static switch with a stable, reliable,
predetermined response time. Low carbon
footprint and full front access with zero
electromechanical connections at the rear of
