NTI Matrix KVM Switch Features & Applications | The NODEMUX™ Universal Multi-Platform Matrix KVM switch enables up to eight users to individually command or simultaneously share up to 32 computers. (Expansion up to 512 computers is supported by cascading multiple switches with the XPANDMUX™ ST-MX-xO Switch Expansion Units). This low-cost switch accesses PC, MAC, and SUN computers (and USB computers with NTI adapters). PC, SUN or MAC keyboards and mice can be connected by using adapter cables. New High Density models save rack space! (Denoted by "-UHD" in part number) | - On Screen Display (OSD), Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), & RS232 control and are built directly into this switch.
- No additional hardware or software is needed.
- Rackmount is standard on all ST-nXm-U models. 2x8 and 4x8 models are also available in a desktop case (denoted by "-DT" in part number).
- Female 8 pin miniDIN keyboard & mouse connectors.
- Keyboard hot-plug feature allows users to change their keyboard on the fly - even to a different keyboard platform (PS/2, SUN or MAC) - with no need to power cycle the switch.
- Users can power-down the switch without having to reboot the computers.
- Dedicated microprocessors prevent CPUs from locking up for reliable control.
- The advanced OSD user interface with password security makes the ST switch simple and reliable to use in Enterprise data centers.
- Use as a single- or multi-platform switch.
- Users can work individually or share one computer.

Hosts - Any PS/2 platform computers, including laptops, HP 9000, Silicon Graphics and IBM RS6000.
- Any SUN, including ULTRAs; SUN Blade, 100, 1000, SUN FireTM 280R & SUN Ray (using NTI’s USB-SUN adapter).
- All MACs including MAC Duo Docks; G3/G4s (using NTI’s USB-ADB adapter).
Keyboard - User devices can be PS/2, SUN or MAC.
- Keyboard and mouse are hot-pluggable.
- MAC and SUN startup keys are supported on all platforms of input devices.
- Keystrokes are translated across platforms.
Power - 110 or 220 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz. via AC Adapter.
| Monitor - Supports crisp & clear 1900x1200 video resolution with no degradation.
- A multiscan VGA monitor is required to display the different video outputs from different platforms.
- Bandwidth is 200 Mhz.
Mouse - Smooth mouse movement.
- All connectors are Female.
- Compatible with all standard 2-button PS/2 mice as well as the following:
- Microsoft IntelliMouse®.
- Logitech (and other) 3-button mice.
- Alps Glidepoint Touchpad (extended functions i.e. tapping, etc. are not supported).
