The SmartRack 16 is a KVM rack drawer with a built-in 16 port KVM
switch. Designed for effective, efficient control and management of
servers in the rack, it integrates Minicom’s Smart CAT5 Switch 16
Port with the RackManager II.
The SmartRack 16 dual rail KVM rack drawer comes with a compact
17” TFT LCD display yet occupies a mere 1U of rack space. It is
adjustable to various rack depths from 57cm/22.4 inches up to
90cm/35.4 inches.
The SmartRack 16 combines the successful Smart CAT5 series and
the Rackmanager line of compact single rack management solution. The
integrated KVM switch allows you to connect up to 16 servers or
computers to the SmartRack 16. Each server connects to the switch
via a RICC, using low density CAT5 cable (UTP/FTP) in a star
configuration.
The SmartRack 16 provides support for today’s mixed server
environments, with support for multiple platforms (PS/2, SUN, USB).
The SmartRack 16 supports multilingual keyboards. It comes in
seven different language models with eight keyboard options.
The SmartRack 16 OSD features multiple control options, including
multi-layer security and a serial port for Control software
applications (including third party).
The current version of SmartRack 16 is NOT COMPATIBLE with Unix
OS.
