Raritan MasterConsole MX4
The MasterConsole family of KVM switch products provides reliable, central
control of multiple computers for the simplest to the most complex requirements. Our
innovative MasterConsole MX4 matrix switch enables each of four simultaneous users to
access and operate any one of 8 or 16 computers. You can expand up to 256 computers by
cascading Raritan MasterConsole MX4 units, or by combining the MX4 with other MasterConsole models. User
consoles, computers, and cascaded units can be located from 2 feet to 650 feet apart.

The advanced on-screen user interface with multi-level security makes operation
with the MX4 simple and secure. Raritan's unique emulation technology, which dedicates an
individual processor to each channel, means smooth, flawless switching and operation of
any mix of computers running the most demanding operating systems. Just connect computers,
plug in one to four user consoles (keyboard, monitor, mouse), and operate.
MasterConsole MX4 is a multi-user KVM (keyboard, video,
mouse) switch that enables each of four simultaneous users to operate any of the connected
computers. There are two MX4 models--an 8-channel (MX48) and a 16-channel (MX416).
Cascade models for complete access and control of up to 256
computers from four simultaneous user consoles.
The on-screen user interface simplifies both user operation
and system management. System Administration menus provide for assigning meaningful names
to each connected computer and maintaining the list of names of authorized users. Also, if
desired, you can assign security classifications and access rights to each user and
computer. Each user's on-screen menu shows which computers are available for selection.
When selected, the computer's name and channel ID are displayed on the screen for positive
identification and that computer is now unavailable to the other three users. The front
panel LCD continuously displays the status of the system. Control buttons are available to
define system parameters and perform maintenance functions directly from the front panel.
Installation is simple and neat. Connect computers, user
consoles, and cascaded units with our easy-to-manage, coaxial cables in lengths of 2, 6.5,
13, 20, and 30 feet, and up to 325 feet with extended length cable kits. For greater
distance, use Raritan's Cat5 Reach with standard Category 5 UTP cable to connect
computers, user consoles, and cascaded units up to 650 feet apart. With MasterConsole MX4
you have the flexibility to organize and manage your computers for maximum operational
productivity.
