Company Supported Meatless Monday Lunches
We provide a free meatless lunch on Mondays for every employee based at our Colorado headquarters. Going meatless at least one day a week can have significant positive impact on the planet by reducing CO2 emissions as well as decreasing the risk of chronic preventable diseases like cancer, heart disease and obesity. 42U hopes to “Inspire Efficiency” by actively promoting Meatless Mondays to the million plus IT professionals that visit our websites. We also provide meatless-vegan meals at all company sponsored events.
Encourage Working from Home
Investing heavily in our remote management technologies allows our employees to work from home at least one day a week, cutting down on their daily commute and reducing CO2 emissions. Time reduced commuting to and from work is time employees can spend with family and friends thus enhancing their work/life balance and quality of life.
Company Sponsored Mass Transit Passes & Bike to Work Day
42U provides an RTD Eco Pass to every employee based at our Colorado headquarters. Every year 42U employees participate in Denver’s Bike to Work Day. In 2008, our company took first place in our division for the Bike to Work Day Business Challenge.
Minimizing our Office CO2 Footprint
We actively promote recycling and buy eco-friendly products for our office. Our IT staff is required to purchase IT equipment that is over 90% recyclable. In addition for our order-fulfillment and operations, we aim to be ‘paperless’. Therefore, we use online electronic forms and encourage our clients, vendors and business partners to communicate with us via email and our electronic forms.
Monthly Pro-Bono Energy Audit for Charitable Organizations
42U offers one pro-bono energy audit a month, valued at $10,000. If you represent a charitable group or know of a deserving organization, please contact us. Together, we can drive toward a more sustainable, benevolent planet.
