Rittal LCP Standard In-Rack High Density Cooling System

LCP In-Rack Modular High Density Cooling (Up to 20 kW)

Rittal's LCP brings data center cooling to the rack level, utilizing chilled water in a closed-loop configuration to prevent heat loss and eliminate hot spots, providing up to 20 kW of useful cooling output. Using Rittal's Liquid Cooling Packages have been proven to reduce energy consumption in data center cooling by 30-45%, making them the perfect addition to the environmentally conscious data center.

Designed to be installed next to an 80" (2000 mm) high by 40"/ (1000/) deep TS8 server cabinet, the LCP Standard can accommodate up to three air/water exchanger modules that can be hot swapped if needed. When fully loaded with three air/water exchanger modules the LCP Standard can provide up to 68,243 BTU (20KW) of useful cooling with a maximum air volume of 1766 cfm (3000 m3/hr). If you don't have an immediate need for that much heat removal, with the LCP Standard you can start with one exchanger module then add more as needed.

As a closed loop solution, the LCP Plus is thermally neutral to the room at large and may be installed in closets, warehouses or wherever precision cooling is required.

The separation of cooling and rack prevents water from penetrating the server rack, making it more assembly and service-friendly. LCPs are easy to handle (max. 2 m) and may be transported in lifts and through doors. The low weight means a minimal area load.

Rittal LCP Standard Features:

  • Up to 20 kW useful cooling output
  • Sidecar design: Installed adjacent to high density server cabinet(s)
  • Uniform temperature distribution across the entire height of cabinet
  • 19" mounting unobstructed
  • Full 42U available inside the rack
  • Dimensions: 300 x 2000 x 1000 (12" x 80" x 40") (W x H x D)
  • Integrated condensate management and leakage protection
  • Controller with networking capability, compatible with all common communication standards (SNMP, Bacnet etc)

The Rittal LCP Standard offers many benefits:

Potential Energy Savings
  • Reduce the need for traditional data center climate control and provide the same heat removal capacity for much lower energy usage by utilizing the "Free Cooling" capacity of existing climate control systems.
Flexibility
  • The capability to cool one or two cabinets from a single LCP or LCP Plus system, depending on potential heat loads.

Expandable

  • Providing a scalable system that can grow as the IT installation grows with modular units that provide simple connections to existing facility infrastructure.

Redundancy

  • Can provide multiple levels of redundancy to meet the most demanding installation criteria from N+1 to 2N and beyond.
