SECURELY MANAGE YOUR NETWORK RESOURCES
The SCS480R is a high performance console port management
solution incorporating OpenSSH for secure authentication and encryption, and
support for DHCP networks. The administrator assigns each user’s access
rights. Users can then connect to only the devices they are authorized to
access.
LOCAL, NETWORK, AND REMOTE
ACCESS FLEXIBILITY
When access to network devices is key the SCS480R provides
management of serial console ports directly through the network or from a
local terminal. Remote access is achieved via SSH, PPP or through an external
modem. The access flexibility of the SCS480R make it perfectly suited to
management of remote server installations.
SERVER MONITORING SPEEDS DIAGNOSTICS
The SCS480R provides a 256K true FIFO buffer for each device
port providing a 400+ screen audit trail to assist with diagnostics should an
attached device fail. By allowing access to original panic messages, problems
can be quickly corrected and downtime reduced. The SCS480R is fault tolerant
and will not cause attached devices to fail should the secure console server
lose power. The design of the SCS480R provides isolation between the user
terminal and the server or device, eliminating the terminal as a point of
failure.
