Job Description

General Responsibilities:

Our Sales Support Specialists manage all aspects of customer service for orders/accounts originating through our sales consultants and from our ecommerce stores. These individuals support the achievement of company goals and ensure that all tasks performed and decisions made align with the company’s vision and mission.

  • Consistently demonstrates positive and professional behavior in all interactions
  • Follows up, maintains, and documents quoting requests, availability, and price checks
  • Maintains consistency regarding company standards and procedures for purchasing
  • Maintains accurate and timely communication with the customer and sales representative regarding the status of the order(s) placed
  • Finalizing the order, this can include: invoicing, billing and crediting
  • Following up on additional requests when applicable, this can include: merchandise returns, exchanges, issue resolution
  • Recommends and maintains customer service, process, and procedural improvements that will enhance the customer experience, improve efficiency, decrease costs, increase productivity, and/or enhance our work environment
  • Implements and/or adopts approved changes

Position Summary

As a Web developer, you are skilled in using the dynamic programming tools and languages that fuel the Web. You work independently as well as under the direction of the Marketing Team that builds and integrates interactive Web sites, and applications. Your role is to make it work! You will be developing web applications, testing, enhancing and modifying them to ensure the best experience for the user. As a web developer, you will architect websites, design data-driven applications, and research client-server solutions. You must have a general understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to integrate web and application data between different systems.  You must be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions effectively.

General Characteristics:

The Web Developer demonstrates the following skill sets:

Responsibility Scope:
 

  • 60 percent coding
  • 20 percent testing
  • 20 percent support and communication tasks

 

General Responsibilities:

The Web Developer will be responsible for the following job functions:

  • Support, design, develop, program, and test software and web-based systems supporting

  • DirectNET’s corporate websites including ecommerce Yahoo stores

  • Support, design, develop, program, and test database-driven website applications and forms

  • Support CMS design and integration to Ektron CMS400.Net, web analysis tools such as Google

  • Analytics and search engine optimization

  • Create new website elements using the latest technologies and trends for effective website interfacing. Such as calculators, product selectors/wizards and social networking

  • Provide all levels of website content management (CMS) and web support

  • Document all applications, including setup, configuration, customization, and on-going modifications

  • Use and maintain development code repository to track code changes and implementations

 

Experience:

 

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, .NET and C#

  • Demonstrate development experience, Ektron CMS preferred

  • Demonstrate development experience with HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Web Services, Javascript

  • Demonstrate experience with .NET Framework, including management of public websites and/or extranet

  • Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Active Directory

  • Experience building Yahoo Stores and working knowledge of RTML preferred

  • Experience working on multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work on projects independently as well as with a team

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience writing technical and business specifications based on user requirements

  • Ability to learn and communicate technical/business information

  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
