Avocent AutoView Analog and Digital KVM Switches

Avocent AutoView Analog KVM Appliances

The AutoView switch also provides support for USB, PS/2, Sun® and serial target devices.  Designed to fit your SMB server room environment are the 8-port AutoView single-user switch, the multi-user 8-port AutoView switch and 16-port AutoView switches. Each switch includes a convenient OSD that allows easy configuration and quick server selection.

The AutoView analog switch series includes two unique cabling options. Integrated access cables offer server room environments flexible cabling lengths of 7, 10 and 15 feet between the target device and the switch. Integrated access cables provide PS/2 and USB support. The server interface module, with PS/2, USB, Sun and serial support provides up to 100 feet between the target device and the switch with your existing cabling infrastructure. Both cabling options automatically assign and retain unique server names for each attached server, which simplifies installation and eases reconfiguration.

Features and Benefits:

  • Virtual Media Support – Share a directly connected USB storage device to all servers connected to a KVM switch (a DSAVIQ-USB2 module is required for virtual media support)

  • Common Access Card (CAC)/Smart Card Support – Enhances security to meet US government regulation HSPD12 which is required for ensuring secure login to government systems (an AVRIQ-VMC module is required for CAC support)

  • Server/Computer Access – Manage PS/2, USB, Sun or serial devices

  • Flash Upgrade – Fast and easy upgrades to firmware appliances and server interface modules

  • Easy to Use – Configure your system name and select your servers from the convenient OSD

  • Standards-Based – Uses standard CAT-5 cables

  • OS Independent – BIOS-level access ensures connection to the attached servers regardless of the health or type of operating system
