Compact Dual UTP PS/2 interface module with audio and serial
Avocent AMIQ-PS2 dongles permit users to extend PS2 keyboard and mouse based
computers up to 1000ft away from the desktop user station with use of UTP
cabling. Also referred to as Server Interface Modules or SIMs, AMIQ-PS2
dongles store unique server identification for easier configuration and
enhanced security. Users will also benefit with a reduction of bulky cable
clutter within server cabinets when implementing the AMX Cat5 KVM solution.
The AMIQ enhanced CAT 5 cable interface is the new choice for flexibility and performance in robust IT environments. The CAT 5 design and video technology eliminate bulky cabling connections and delivers real-time, high bandwidth video for KVM switching up to 1,000 feet away from the server. The AMIQ's built-in memory eases configuration by assigning and retaining unique server identification codes for each attached server.
